Web Development (Period 1)

Course Description

 Welcome! You will be working with Adobe CS6, where you will be learning the following: BRIDGE: In this course, you will learn to manage your image and media assets with Adobe Bridge CS6. First, you will learn the basic workspace layout components and how to change modes. Next, you will learn to add and view metadata, filter files with keywords, and label and rate files. Last, you will learn how to filter files using labels and ratings. DREAMWEAVER: In this course, you will learn the basics of Adobe Dreamweaver CSS6. You will first learn how to get started with Dreamweaver, create a website and develop a web page.  Then, you will work with text, style sheets, images, and links. Next, you will learn to position page content with CSS and tables. Last, you will learn how to manage a web server and files. FLASH: In this course, you will learn Adobe Flash CS6 through step-by-step instructions and in-depth explanations. You will first learn how to get started with Flash, how to draw objects, and how to work with symbols and interactivity.  Next, you will focus on creating animations, creating special effects and developing applications for mobile devices. PHOTOSHOP: In this course, you will learn the most important topics of Adobe Photoshop CS6. You will first learn how to get started and work with Photoshop, including using Adobe Bridge and Mini Bridge. Next, you will learn how to work with layers, make selections, incorporate color techniques, and work with type in an image, including using character and paragraph styles. You will then focus on using painting tools, content-aware features, and working with special layer functions. INTEGRATION: Finally, you will learn how to integrate the three programs.

Prerequisites: None, Computer Applications completion preferred.
