Welcome to Rancho! This will be a year of fun and growth. ELD means English Language Development. The ELD Content Vocabulary class is one period. This class is designed as an intensive introduction to American Standard English and vocabulary in the content areas. Emphasis is placed on the acquisition of English and vocabulary development through the use of materials, and a variety of instructional strategies that incorporate listening, speaking, reading and writing.
