Mr. Durand's Science Page

I have been teaching at Rancho Alamitos since 1996 and currently teach AP Environmental Science, Biology, and zero period Chemistry. In the past I have also taught  AP Biology and Physical Science. I was one of the co-founders of the former FACT program, a widely recognized specialized interdisciplinary program for advanced and high-achieving freshmen. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and a Masters Degree in Teaching Science from Cal State Fullerton. Before entering classroom teaching I was an outdoor education instructor for both the Orange County Department of Education Outdoor Science Schools and Guided Discoveries Astrocamp.
